Well...he sortof showed up one weekend in my party when he was still a Gligar...it's a long story. But I know you can catch Gligar in places like the Dark and Union Caves. The Dark Cave isn't very far from New Bark.

Tour guide...? There isn't anything like that. Unless you find another trainer to travel with, it will be just you and your Pokemon.

No, I'm afraid not...some Pokemon you can fly on, and others are large enough to ride on, but otherwise you'll be on foot.

I'm sorry. I wish I could help you more, but once you get to the first town there's nothing saying that you have to keep traveling or anything. And it only takes three days to get from New Bark to Cherrygrove anyway.

But I promised my new friend I'd meet him in a different city!

Hm...Ecruteak is pretty far from New Bark. But...if you want to meet him right away, maybe you could ask if he had any Pokemon that can Fly? Maybe then he could come pick you up.

Yeah...you're probably right. The only other thing I can think of for you to do is have him catch an Abra for you, heal it at the Pokemon Center, and then send it to you so you can Teleport straight to Ecruteak. It takes some doing, but I've had it work before.

[He wouldn't suggest it for all traveling, especially since it's pretty restrictive, but it works in a pinch.]

These Pocket things are amazing! I wish other monsters were this convenient!

Yeah. Teleport is the only move Abra can use to start, but it's very useful. You can only Teleport back to the last Pokemon Center it was healed at, though.

What's a Pokemon Center?

It's a place you can take your Pokemon to have them healed if they are injured in battle. They all have red roofs, so they're hard to miss.
