(5) Video / Action for Goldenrod Department Store

[Draculaura is sitting on a counter-top, and below her are dozens and dozens and DOZENS of shopping bags, spilling out with clothes, accessories, Pokemon toys, TMs, plushies, evolution stones... basically anything you could possibly get at the department stores. A Growlithe is sticking his head into one such bag, while Murkrow sits on her shoulder. Both Pokemon are wearing scarves, booties, ribbons, etc...

Draculaura holds up the gear, all smiles

Time for another dead-blog update! I'm blogging live from the Goldenrod Department Store, and it's sooo lived up to the hype! It's got everything and anything! I'm all set for winter, and I'm about to do another good long haul for spring! I bet purple is totes going to come back in style next season. All you newbies should totes come here and shop until you drop!

[A nervous employee comes into the frame.]

Um, miss?

I mean, look at these amazing prices, and for amazing items! [She holds up a Dusk Stone.] See, isn't it gorgeous? I bet it'd male a great necklace!

Miss...? About the bill...?

[She waves with a dismissive hand.] Yeah, yeah, just take it out of my wallet. Anyway, I was thinking the next big thing will be those kimono dresses, but for Pokemon!

Miss... you have no money left.

[Pause. Now she looks at the employee.] Huh?

... You have absolutely no money left. In fact, I... I'm not even sure how this is possible, but you have negative PokémonDollar.png.

... Ummmm. Can I... return this stuff?

[That's when Murkrow decides, hey, shiny thing, I want to touch it! So he proceeds to grab the Dusk Stone - and evolve into Honchkrow, who now stands proudly on the floor. By the way, you're pretty sure Growlithe is eating his scarf.]

... Uh-oh.

[When Draculaura returns your call, it will be hours later, as she is now an employee at the Store. Um, yay? As for Action, catch her awkwardly cleaning the windows with Drifblim!

...I was mostly thinking of their ability to create money, but if the cuteness helps too...

Sure they can. That's one of the main reason people decide to train them. At level 100, they give out enough money to make working unnecessary.

Not everyone knows about it, not everyone likes cats, not everyone has the patience to intensively train a Pokémon for that long, I guess.

You'd still have to work for a while, until it grows strong enough, but getting one to level 30 should only take a few weeks. And they start off throwing P3000 at once, so that builds up quickly.

Or enough pokéballs to go on a nice catching spree at the Safari.

[...He thinks. It's been a long time since he had to buy pokéballs.]

Captain Ash, at your service. May I ask for your name in return?

Of a spaceship, to be precise. Are you from one of those worlds where they've become common?

Exactly that kind. They're not nearly as useful in water, I'm sorry to say.

Not one bit. I was born in space, but it was in one of Earth's colonies. We haven't found genuine aliens yet, actually.

Yeah, even with so many worlds represented by the people here, it seems advanced space exploration is the exception rather than the norm. It's a shame.

Plenty of times. There's a major military base there.

[A ghoul friend? Should he even ask, or just assume that's normal in her world?]

It's... very grey, and peaceful enough when no battle is going on. Has a nice view of Earth, too.

As long as you're near a window and with pleasant company, yes. Otherwise, you'd better enjoy the military aesthetic and cafeteria food.
