[Manaka doesn't come from a physically demonstrative family, so the hug catches her off guard. But after a second or two of hanging limply in Draculaura's arms, she suddenly shifts, returning the hug like it's nothing at all.]
[As Draculaura snatches the box up, Manaka merely giggles at her enthusiasm.]
Mm, maybe. But after the way you took me shopping, I wanted to!
[Inside the box is something in the style of a traditional hana kanzashi—except, rather than a bundle of flowers, the topmost portion is fashioned into the design of a Woobat, with streamers of hearts trailing beneath it.]
[Manaka reaches into her bag again, and this time, she withdraws a pokéball. She hits the release mechanism in lieu of an answer, letting loose a Spritzee, the little bird fluffing its feathers with a snooty chirp.
[That prompts another trill from Parfait, Manaka's little bird hopping closer and prodding at her ankles with her beak. She might not be happy with captivity, but that doesn't mean Manaka gets to dote on other Spritzee!!!
Manaka, of course, just giggles and crouches down to gather Parfait up in her arms.]
