[A couple days after the talk on the Pokegear, an Umbreon mask in a style much like this will be waiting for her in her box. There's a signed Joker card along with it wishing Draculara a happy Halloween.]
[By now Mai had sat on her bed at the inn for a while and was a right mess and she was upset and a little frustrated and really didn't know who to contact. So she decided to send a text. Can always sound happy in text.]
Hey! It's Mai! I'm heading out onto route 30 in the next few days so I thought I'd just send a message through to say hi and see what kind of exciting things you've been up to!
They'll always be little babies but last I saw your pokemon were already quite big! And they float around.
I got an invitation to join the circus too but I'm quite a distance away. I want to explore a little more before I settle down in one place I think. What will you be doing in the circus?
A little bit of everything! Props, costumes, all the footwork, that kind of thing. We're trying to find what suits me best. To be honest, I don't have a lot of talent.
[Good, this talking is actually making her feel better and less like she's going to explode into upset again. She's quite pleased she's made this kind of friend here...]
I'm sure you're very talented! Just need to find the thing you're talented in. I would ask for your help designing little costumes for my pokemon if you would be interested. Hopefully, I'll be getting a performance in the circus.
I just got back, actually! And I brought something back from Ecruteak for you. If you want to meet up now, I'll head over to the shopping center right away!
[With that, Manaka hangs up, immediately heading to the shopping center. She stands outside the doors, humming and bouncing on her heels as she waits.]
Ah... Hello. I purchased some images from you a few weeks ago -- which are lovely, by the way.
I understand they're themed towards an upcoming holiday. "Halloween," I believe? You seemed an enthusiast, if not an expert, on the matter. If it isn't any trouble, could you explain it to me? It wasn't celebrated in my home.
I... see. [That doesn't sound like the greatest thing to celebrate... But it sounds pretty harmless. And delicious.] What sorts of costumes do you wear? Anything of the fancy sort?
[Among other things with the Honchkrow delivery, Draculaura will find a package addressed to her! It contains chocolate of different types in the shape of Swoobat, Phantump, Gengar, and many other bat or Ghost types. The note with it reads simply "From Jack."
Ah, but there's something else too--some cute hair clips and a note: "Happy birthday, dear! It's not much, but I think your friend Jack has the rest covered.
[On the day of February 14th, should they look at their communicator, they might see a message from one young Mabel Pines!]
Hey, you! You there! Yes, I’m talking to you! I’m just here to wish you a super duper Happy Valentine’s Day! May you get a lot of love and candy from everyone around you!

A bunch of my Pokemon have evolved, but even though they're grown up, they're still my babies :3
And I'm joining Joker's circus!

(My witchcraft doesn't really work here, but the important thing is that I thought about it, right?)

[Attached is a homemade omamori, tied with a pink string—though the outer fabric is a bit more spooky than is traditional.]
